TriForcer Spotlight: Christiane & Réjean
TriForce started its Master’s program in June of 2017... and Christiane and Réjean have been with us since June of 2017. Nous avons commencé avec Triforce parce que pour nous c'est important de demeurer en forme et actifs le plus longtemps possible. Car Réjean avec son opération au cerveau et sa paralysie avait grandement besoin d'une remise en forme. Now, as you know, fitness and health are all about giving: giving time to workout, giving effort and consistency to improve, g

Member Spotlight: Nadia
Nadia joined our TriForce family for two reasons: Starting Triforce was an initiative to get in better shape, but it was also a great occasion to spend a little more time with my wonderful son! (Guess who?) *Cough* Olivier *Cough* …though her actual family within TriForce will grow even bigger soon when Olivier and Coach Brooke’s tie the knot this August, 2019! And really, what better way to get into shape than having your family right there beside you. I really appreciate th

Member Spotlight: Cindy
The mysterious woman upstairs. We remember when she first moved upstairs. Right away we knew she was someone we wanted to get to know, but boy it was hard at first! With a pep in her step and constant smile on her face, she seemed to always be moving on a mission. Up, down. Up, down. She definitely gets her stair steps daily! Of course we chatted in passing, however it was clear that she was juggling 32908457868 things. We had resolved to follow her on social media to keep up

2018: A Year In Review
Two thousand eighteen. What a year: -We ran our first full-length online-only Kickstart Program in January. Proceeds from this super fun challenge went towards a new toy, a dual pulley cable system, that has quickly become everyone's favourite gym equipment - We showed off our artistry with two paint nights (boy, are we getting good!) - Enjoyed the beautiful outdoors with some snowshoeing, hiking, picnics, Park Fitness and yoga by the water - Celebrated Christmahanakwanza,

November Spotlight: Fiona
Fiona. A woman of many hats. Traveling around the province with Transport Canada, furthering her massage therapy education (YUP, you read that right---we call her first available appointments!), certifying as a race pacer for racers with visual disabilities, hosting a child from Chernobyl in the summers, canoeing on ice in the winter, skateboarding to the gym… the list goes on and on. It’s so rare to meet someone with so many diverse talents and interests. Really, it’s a test

TriForcer Spotlight: Joanne
Joanne, a true spitfire. If you’ve been to our weekday classes, then you KNOW Joanne. She’s the bubbly, energetic one that’s cheering everyone on while rocking out to the tunes (her distinct tenor voice is always right on point). We were fortunate to have met Joanne in summer 2017: Since Tai Chi improves flexibility, reduces stiffness and help keep joints mobile, my osteopath suggested I join to help staying in shape while recovering from a knee injury. After a few weeks, I

TriForcer Spotlight: Anne-Marie
Almost one year ago today, Anne-Marie strolled into our gym, worried that she wouldn’t make it through the class because she was too out-of-shape. Though we had our doubts of her comments. Every exercise she performed with phenomenal form and grace, making it look almost too easy. Then we learned why: J'ai fait du ballet pendant plus de 20 ans. C'était mon loisir et mon sport. J'ai été prof de ballet auprès de jeunes enfants pendant 7 ans. C'était ma job d'étudiante. J'ai dan

TriForcer Spotlight: Nicole
“Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.” -Thomas Wayne, Batman Begins (2005) If you have ever met Nicole, you would know that she embodies the above quote-- truly, we consider her the Batgirl of our Triforce family. Approximately 6 months ago, she came to us from the Roxboro community Centre’s Tai Chi program interested in our Master’s Program (a program for those 60 and over who are looking to build strength and improve endurance, flexibility and stability). F

TriForcer Spotlight: Natalie
We always talk about how much we love our TriForce family. The caring and support that our community shows one another is second to none. So, nothing makes us happier than when our #TriForceFam brings in their #ActualFam to our lil’ old gym. And that’s exactly how we met Natalie. “I always thought of myself as athletic, but I guess as I got older I stopped doing a lot of the sports that I had always done, several years ago I started waking up a little sore every morning, I fo

June Spotlight: Sue
Beep beep beeeeeeeep. The beautiful sound of an early wake-up permeates the room. For many of us Breakfast Clubbers, the wake-up comes minutes before our 6:15am class start—truly, it’s amazing how fast we can all get up and at ‘er in the morning! And not just wake-up and roll-out of bed. Wake-up, roll-out and CRUSH it. Sue, a regular AMer, is no exception to crushing it. She’s just one of those go-getter folks. As a lover of the great outdoors, Sue wears many hats: providing
