On-the-Go Protein Brownie Bites

Fall is busy.

Finding snacks and treats that fit in with your schedule AND your goals is critical.

And thanks to the inspiration of TriForcer Diane (who was inspired by

#JessicaIntheKitchen), we have a delicious, healthy treat that will fit inside lunch boxes – purses even – and is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Prep time: ~10min | Yield: ~ 12 protein balls

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • ½ cup of walnuts

  • ½ cup of almonds

  • 1 cup of Medjool dates

  • 1/3 cup of cocoa powder

  • 1 scoop of chocolate whey protein powder

  • ½ cup of unsweetened coconut flakes

  • 1 tsp of cinnamon

  • 1 tsp of salt

And here’s what you do:

  1. Blend the almonds and walnuts into a fine powder in the food processor (~ 1-2 minutes on high).

  2. Add the Medjool dates until a thick batter forms.

  3. Then, throw in the cocoa powder, protein powder, cinnamon and most of the unsweetened coconut flakes until thoroughly mixed.

  4. Take a spoonful of the mixture and roll into a round ball (~1’’ thick).

  5. Set in refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  6. ENJOY!
